In Japan, we have a long spell of heat temperature.
People try to find various ways how to get themselves cool from the uncomfortable weather.

Some of them are fond of listening and watching horror story on television and at theater to get cool.
Especially , young people are willing to go to a haunted house in an amusement park.


I 'm so coward person that I've gone off horrors　for many years.
I would prefer to stay at home and endure heat weather than to go exploring what is inside the haunted house.
日本では猛暑が続いてます。
どうやったら、この不快な気候をしのげるか、みんな色んな方法で試してます。

中には怪談やホラー映画を好んで観る人もいます。
特に若い人たちは、遊園地のお化け屋敷に喜んで行ったりします。

私は怖がりなので、何年もお化け屋敷から遠ざかっています。
お化け屋敷を体験するくらいなら、家で暑さを我慢する方がマシです。

Thank you for the correction.
Actually, I wanted to use "go off " as you corrected.
It is the first time to try to use this phrasal verb for me but I failed .( ；´Д｀)
クーラー難民って面白い言葉ですよね。
