I work in the pre-press department of a trade show graphics company, and I'm interested in language, weather events, art, music, riichi mahjong and cooking.

A long, long time ago, I took an introductory Japanese class through the local university, but right now I'm enjoying studying Japanese in my free time. I feel more comfortable reading (with the help of dictionaries) than I do composing sentences, but I think it's time I gave it a try. I write very slowly, but I hope to post something interesting each week.

Reading online has been very helpful for me, and so in return, I hope my journal entries will help others, too.

Your thoughts and comments are always welcome, and if you have the time, feel free to add any corrections or suggestions. I'll try my best, but I'll probably be making a lot of mistakes, so your help would be greatly appreciated.
