The leader of the Front National, a French extremely right party, Marine Le Pen had racked up traffic violations.
Her driver's license was confiscated on October 1st, but she insisted that she didn't commit a traffic offense.

Under the French system, whenever a driver violates the traffic laws, they lose points.
They lose their license once they have no points left.

The FN made great strides in European Parliament elections this year.
Le Canard Enchaine, a weekly magazine and known for satire, headlined, "Marine wants to steer France, but she no longer has a license."
Le Pen said that the photos of the site would show that she was not involved in the traffic offense.
