At schools in Oklahoma, "kissing disease" had broken out, and this led the schools to be closed until December, officials said on 20th.

Mononucleosis is transmitted via saliva.
Most cases of infections are through kissing, so it is called "kissing disease".
Passing around drinks, coughing, and sneezing can also carry the virus.
Its symptoms are a fatigue, sore throat, and fever.

Woodland Public Schools in Fairfax, which is located about 100 miles north of Oklahoma City, has been closed in order to protect the 200 students from the risk of infection.
An official of the Board of Education said, "We have decided it considering a high infection frequency of mononucleosis."
