The immigration policy change is a recent topic in Japan. Japan has the number four share for accepting immigrants from the rest of the world according to the statics in 2015. There are two million, four handred and seventy thousand foreign residents in Japan. According to the united nations, an immigrant is a person who lives in a foreign country for more than one year. Students from foreign countries and workers transferred abroad can be counted as immigrants. The Japanese Government's opinion is different from UN. They say that only foreigners who gain citizenship or permanent residency status are immigrants. Japan will accept more five handred thousand workers from other countries in a few years. They are temporal workers but they can live in Japan up to ten years if they have enough skills for working in the country.
