A Japanese aerobatics pilot

I went a flight school for my training as usual and I found a Japanese pilot there by chance. This was my first time to see Japanese there. He said that he came here to have lessons for aerobatics to prepare for the world aerobatics competition. He said that there were good airplanes and easier to rent than other flight clubs. Although I was interested in aerobatics, I had few chances to be rerated to aerobatics. I heard many interesting stories about it. It was fun.

"found" is usually used for things or for people that were lost.
This was my first time to see a Japanese person there.
He said that he came there to have lessons for aerobatics to prepare for the world aerobatics competition.
You used "there" before so you should keep it consistent.
He said that they had were good airplanes and they were easier to rent than at other flight clubs.
Although I was interested in aerobatics, I have had few chances to be involved in aerobatics.
So, aerobatics is like stunt piloting? This is not a very common word in English. Do they do lots of tricks? I hope you enjoy flight school.
