I was surprised that there are many smokers in London when I came here. When I was a medical university student, I heard that smoking is restricted in public space and the people are well educated about the badness of smoking in European countries. But I see many people smoking on a road every day. Most of my co-workers enjoy smoking. The most surprising thing that the promotion activity for smoking is held in front of the large train station every day and a member of staff recommend us smoking. We Japanese have a tendency to think that the cultures in European countries are better and more sophisticated than one of us. It is difficult to know in right way without seeing by myself.
