"Often times I feel bad becasue he is too down to earth."
I just made up this words, and I'm unsure this sentence could make sens in any ways.
"He's very down to earth."
I often hear this phrase; 'down to earth'
I looked up on an English-Korean dictionary, and it says 'practical, realistic, thoroughly and frankly, candidly'.(Since these meanings are written in Korean, I translated them into English.)
What do you mostly use that phrase 'down to earth'?
"I feel bad."
I think this sentence can be heard like:
1. I'm angry.
2. I'm sorry.
3. I'm sick.
As the title of this entry, I wanted to say as "Often times I get angry because he is too candid/frank." (^0^;)

"Often times I often feel bad because he is too down to earth."
I looked it up in an English-Korean dictionary, and it says 'practical, realistic, thoroughly and frankly, candidly'.(Since these meanings are written in Korean, I translated them into English.) Being "down to Earth" means being open, direct, frank, honey, etc. It is an adjectival phrase, not an adverbial phrase, so it can't mean "thoroughly" or "Frankly" because those words are adverbs, which end in "ly."
A person could also be described, variously, as "sneaky," "deceptive," "curious," "honest," or, "down to Earth." Each of these show different characteristics of a person, so you can see "down to Earth' is but one of several possible ways to describe someone.
But you would normally not feel sad because someone is too down to Earth, unless they said something to you that hurt your feelings.
I like people who are "down to earth".
And..I'm more like down to earth I think..
