I have something that I really want to overcome.
Tonight, I found a something big was flying at the light in my house.
I wasn't sure what was it but, for sure it was an insect.
I really really scared of insects, so it took about 1 hour to let it out from my house.
This is it what I want to overcome.

今日夜、何か大きな物が家のライトのところに飛んでいるのを見つけました。
何だか分かりませんでしたが、確かに虫です。
私は本当に虫が怖いので、家の外に出すのに1時間もかかりました。
それが私が克服したいことです。

I always confuse how to use "any" and "some".

"Something" is like "何か". "Anything" can also be like "何か" but I found "～こと" used as "anything" for a few situations:

(A tad more natural)
When I was a kid I was terribly afraid of ants. My friend gave me this book as a gift http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_of_the_Ants_%281991_novel%29
After reading it I became so familiar with ants that I wasn't afraid of them anymore. This book doesn't appear to have a Japanese translation, but I suggest you find similar reading. If you familiarize yourself with the subject, you can hardly fear it.
I will search a book similar to the book. (^_-)-☆
