Two Capitals

Japanese capital is Tokyo of course.
However, until the Edo era, Kansai area was regarded as the center of Japan.
Kyoto had the Imperial Palace and was the political capital.
Osaka had a lot of big companies, and worked as the economical center.
Because of the long history as capitals, these two cities have been attracting many people from all over this country, and have developed their own culture.
One of these characteristic features is food.

Yesterday, I visited Osaka with my friends, and painted the city red.
I was surprised because there was a wide variety of traditional Osaka food at lunch, and at dinner.
