Health Condition

At annual checkup by our company's doctors, they always measure men’s west to judge their health condition.
We call a person who has a west larger than the standard "METABO", which means a person suffering from metabolic syndrome.
However, there is a criticism against the measurement, especially after an employee of Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare died following his doctor's advice.
For women, these doctors calculate BMI instead of the west length.
It might sound reasonable, but BMI wasn't espoused as a measurement in France, because some scientists doubted the relationship between BMI and the health condition.
It is difficult to measure health conditions!
