These are mostly single-die LEDs used as indicators.

I am not that familiar with electronics, but a die refers to a wafer of silicon, I think. So, "single-die" would mean that everything is integrated in one wafer of silicon.

Ah, I've figured it out. Each wafer of silicon gets diced into several pieces and each of those pieces is called a "die". So, a "single-die" LED is one that is made using only one of these pieces. I suppose it saves on manufacturing cost?
