Kanji would be popular with some foreign people, especially westerners.
I have watched some foreign people wearing a T-shirt with kanji written on it, and some athletes also acquired a kanji tattoo.
On the other hand, Japanese people wear a T-shirt with English words.
Some Japanese also get a tattoo of English words.
It is interesting.

For foreign people, the foreign characters or words would be just graphic or image, that is, they wouldn’t have original meanings.

When you buy a T-shirt with kanji written on it, please check the meaning of it.
You know the reason for it, don’t you?
