It ate my money!

Hey, lang-8 people, how are you doing? It's been a while since I posted my last post. It's not that I left lang-8, but I was just super busy lately.

みなさん元気？最後に投稿してからずいぶん経つ。Lang-8をやめちゃったわけじゃないよ。ただ最近すごく忙しくて。

It's kind of pain to buy drinking water here in the US, because in Japan, it was totally fine to drink tap water.
アメリカでは飲料水を買わないといけないからめんどくさい。日本では普通に水道水を飲めたからね。


Yesterday I and my girlfriend went to Henry's to buy grocery stuff. We also needed to buy water, so I was putting my money in the machine.
昨日はヘンリーズに食料品を買いに行った。水も買わないといけなかったから、機械にお金を入れた。

It was okay for the first 3 gallons, but when I put a dollar bill to get the fourth gallon of water, the machine ate my money and didn't give me water at all. So annoying.
最初の3ガロンは問題なかった。でも次の4ガロン目を買う時に1ドル札を入れたら、その機械はお金を吸い込んでしまった。

I almost said "Hey, it doesn't work, you shouldn't use it" when next person came and saw her going to buy water, but I didn't. No English came out from my mouth.
次の人が来て、その人が水を買おうとしてた時、ぼくは「それ壊れてるよ」と言いそうになったけど、何も言わなかった。なんて言っていいのか英語がわからなかった。

Lucky her, she got water without any problems. What the F.
でも運がいいことに、その人は問題なく水を買えた。チクチョー！

I noted the phone number of the company, but realized that my pre-paid cellphone costs 25cents/min and telling the situation, my name, and address would take more than 5 min and maybe it could take more than 20 min because sometimes I can't understand what people are saying and they can't understand what I'm saying since English is my second language.
その会社の電話番号をメモしたけど、ぼくの携帯は1分ごとに25セントかかるし、状況を伝えたり自分の住所とか名前を言うのに5分以上かかるだろうし、それにたまにぼくは電話の相手が何を言ってるのかわからなかったり、相手もぼくの言ってることがわからなかったりするから、もしかしたら20分以上かかっちゃうかも。なんせ英語はぼくにとって第二言語だからね。

I told my girlfriend that I will give up my 1 dollar, but then she said she would take it. Good luck.
