I visited Budapest while Hungary was still a communist country. Tourists had to get their visas stamped every night at an approved place. I went to the tourist bureau to find a place, but there were no hotels rooms. There were two Japanese girls there. I invited them to a campground because I had a tent and they had no place to sleep.
(If you are female tourists in a foreign city and a stranger invites you to a campground, it's probably not a good idea to go with him!)
I slept at their feet like a big dog. It rained in the night and it got wet!
They gave me an umeboshi and later sent me a Christmas card!

When you write 眠る, that means only sleeping, but if you write 寝る, that could imply that you had a romance with her.....or them!? lol
You intentionally chose the word 寝る？ I think it's a good choice because it's catchy and very intriguing! I couldn't resist reading it!
I certainly have had holiday romances, but only with women who really wanted to be with me!
The girls must have been so scared and they were so lucky to meet you!
I had a similar trouble in France before, too. I might write about that some day:)

I hope you didn't catch a cold.
When I talked with Hungarian lady who sometimes comes to our lab, she said, winter in Hungary is very cold so most of meals in Hungary are hot and are red or dark red because of paprika. I can't eat very hot food, but I have interest in red or dark red dishes on the table. Did you try Hungarian cookings?
Well, paprika is the 'national spice' of Hungary, so they use it all year - my friend's mother had a garden full of it! But paprika can come in hot or sweet varieties, so you can get it so it's not hot! The home cooked meals were good, but some of the things you'd buy in restaurants and from street vendors could be unpleasant, since they seemed to put lots of chemicals in the food under communism - it wasn't a 'consumer oriented' market.
I hope I can eat good meals under consumer oriented market now.
I can't eat wasabi without other food like sashimi (sliced raw fish) ^^;
The girls have been so lucky to be invited by a kind person like you!
Now I understand one of the reasons you know so much about all nations is that you have traveled a lot.
