Just because you are sick, it doesn't necessarily mean you are unhappy. Even if somebody important to you suffered from incurable disease, it wouldn't be your fault, nor would it mean he or she is unhappy. What is important is not how long you live but how you live.

Is it better to say, "nor would it means he or she were"??

I'd appreciate it if you could correct my English and give me some advice.
