Today, I will explain(their?) about おしぼり（wet wipe）now.
When you visited a Japanese restaurant, have you ever got a おしぼり?
おしぼりis the wet towel that is serve before eat foods in almost all restaurant in Japan.
It is sometimes used wipe our hand as it instead of a napkin.
Many Japanese middle aged men wipe their hands and faces whith it.(><;
The custom is a bit strange isn't it?
おしぼりare certainly(defiantly?? which is the more natural expression? )common in Japan but I've heard that the way is look like strange for foreigners.

「おしぼり」meaning is came from a Japanese word「しぼる」.
「しぼる」is suggesting "wring, squeeze" in English, because おしぼりwas made from wring wet towel.

I have never received such the unique おしぼりin a Japanese restaurant.
We always get nomal おしぼり.

I can't find a picture of the actually "wet wipe", but it's just a wet paper.
