自学する、でも間違いではないですが、あまり聞き慣れないような。。。 他に、「独学」「自学自習」という言葉があります。あとは「一人では勉強できない」というのも使えると思います。
”私は自学自習できません。”のような言い方だと思います
自学でもニュアンスは通じますが、正しくは「自習」と書きます。
