Recently, I run from my house to Tanukidani temple to lose my weight. Though it takes 15 minutes till I arrive the entry of the temple, the temple has 250 steps. It is hard to climb them. At the end of the steps, there is a main hall of a temple. It looks like little Kiyomizu temple, but I have no photo. If you want to see it, you should go up the steps by your own two feet like me!

Though it takes only 15 minutes to get to the temple entrance, I still have to go up 250 steps to reach the temple.
It is hard to climb them up.
At the end of the steps, I can reach the main hall of the temple.
It looks like a little Kiyomizu temple, but I have no photo.
It is also good to say, "good morning", to passing-by people!
Today, I passed by 10 people at least. Many people seems to climb the stairs up for their health.
Thank you so much for your help.
to lose (some) weight.
or: Though it only takes 15 minutes to arrive to the main (public) entrance, I still have to climb 250 steps before reaching the main hall of the temple / altar. "entry of temple" is ok, but "temple entrance" is shorter for the context of your sentence
It is hard to climb up them.
At the end of the steps, there is a main hall of a temple. this is already explained in the above sentence
but I don't have a photo.
I see you are making progress with your English. You could count the steps in English for extra practice. ^^
I hope you achieve your fitness goals for the summer. ~_~
It is easy to make a excuse not to do excise some time.... "The weather is bad", "I have many thing to do", or "It is bad for my body to lose weight rapidly". I wish the summer is far from today.... in order to go up more extra steps.
I'm happy to see your good corrections, thank you!
Maybe you can find another temple nearby and climb two temples in one day. ^^
