Today, my husband, our dog and I went for a walk to see the new year's first sunrise: 初日の出(はつひので).
Around the top of the mountains became light orange when we got to the farm road.
We were waiting for the sunrise while the color of the sky was changing bit by bit.
And finally, the shining sun peeped behind one of the mountains.
I shouted to my husband, "Hey, the sun is rising up!"
It was so beautiful that I was really fascinated and kept watching with half-closed eyes.
After the sun showed us whole itself, I closed my eyes and felt the warm power between the eyebrows.
That made me feel great.
Since I hadn't been interested in seeing the sunrise though that's common in Japan, it was the first experience for me.
I understood why people follow 初日の出 in Japan today.
