I worked hard to peel off some stickers on the three desks and cleaned them.
Today two young employees came home and assessed them.
How much do you think they payed?

It was 10 yen for each desk.
The price is really low but I felt good.
Because it's much better than making them waste.

You can say "clean" because you're saying "I worked hard to peel off some stickers... and (to) clean them".
If you say "cleaned" then you have to say "I cleaned"
