I pushed the front door bell on my friend's new house this morning.
Then her husband opened the door, so I was a little surprised and said hesitatingly " Good morning. Is Hanako there?"
Hanako came to the hall and said, " Hi, Yuko. Come in."
She had have a hard time living with her husband's parents for about 20 years and got damaged her body.
So they decided to build their new house and it was completed the end of January at last.
It was so clean, warm, and convenient that I envied her.
I repeated , "いいなあ: I envy you," many times.
After the house tour, she made a cup of cafe au lait for me and we talked for about 1 hour with her husband.
I was very happy to know that she enjoys a sense of freedom from hardness.

Is Hanako here?"
She had had a hard time living with her husband's parents for about 20 years and damaged her body. (I'm not sure I understand this sentence. How did living with her in-laws damage her body?)
I was very happy to know that she enjoys a sense of freedom from her hard times.
After all, she has rheumatism because of being under stress for a long time.
