When she told me that she couldn't enjoy life and sleep well, I sympathized and wanted to do anything to help her.
I sent the book which helped me a lot when I was depressed and wrote a letter to encourage her.
She wasn't be pleased but got upset.
She misunderstands that I think she is a depressive.
I never said such thing , but somehow she is convinced of the idea.

Was I Thoughtless? (okay grammatically, but "Was I careless?" or "Was I not thinking?" or something has a much more natural feel)
