I wonder if keeping writing in English makes my writing skill better even though I don't know many words and expressions.

A professional Japanese translator advised that English learners should read good English stories as much as possible to write correct English sentences.

So I read English stories, but only three and a half...

I know impatience is not good for learners but sometimes I get impatient.

We all got impatient and frustrated sometimes, it's normal. At times, you wonder if you are improving at all. As they say, practice makes perfect, so if you continue to practice writing, you'll improve. As for learning new words/expressions, reading a lot of English will help you pick up new phrase and words : )

Akiraraさんの言うようにインプットもアウトプットも大切だと思いますが、アウトプットしようとする時、自分の語彙量の無さに焦りを感じてしまいます。

I under stand your frustration. I try reading Japanese short stories, but it still takes me a very long time to even read a sentence! It is all helpful in the end though!

Actually, I just started reading Japanese stories to improve my writing.

And it's reminded me of why I hate reading.
It's because the stuff I read is always boring.
