It has been long time since you showed up in front of me.
You were so nice and kind.
So I felt as if you were my elder brother.

We got married and were given three children.
I thought you were so selfish.

Kids left home and we are only two again.
Now I know you are really thoughtful and reliable.

連れ添ってこそ分かる何かがあるのでしょうね。こちらは、そんな境地に至るまでにはまだまだ山谷ありそうです。
