My son got a report of CELDT, California English Language Development Test, which non-native English speaking students have to take once a year.
His English ability was graded as intermediate, which was one rank up from early intermediate last year.
The test consists of four parts, listening, speaking, reading and writing.
I was surprised that his score of listening was perfect, although one of speaking was intermediate.
I usually wonder how much he can communicate in English, because he reluctant speaks to me in English.
Thanks to his watching the Disney Channel programs every day, he seems to understand English.
I don't understand some of the characters' conversations in the TV programs.
I envy him.
