Osaka that is the second biggest city in Japan is planning to build a one kilometer long swimming pool during summer in the Dotonbori River flowing through the middle of the town.
The pool will be made of a textile and remove it from the river during off-season.
They want to make it a world-wide famous sightseeing place to motivate people come to Osaka from the world.
It’s a bold and exciting idea.
I who used to work in Osaka for ten years hope that the plan will be realized.

I haven't heard of anything like this pool before. Michigan is nice in the summer and fall but too cold in the winter.
