I’m planning a study tour to the US for Japanese corporations about LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) marketing.
In the tour, the participants learn from an expert consultant about some American companies’ efforts to promote their products to LGBT market, by a consultant.
In the US, LGBT market is not small.
For example, it is said that LGBT people occupy the 15% of the entire population in San Francisco.
It is also said that their consumption tendency is different from men and women in some ways.
In Japan, LGBT people will disclose their gender identity more and form the new consumption market.
Japanese companies, which seek for a new market, should target the LGBT market.
Japanese companies, which want to intensify their business to the global market, can’t neglect LGBT market.
