I read a report of Japanese government about the rubble ejected into the Japan sea by the tsunami of Tohoku area of Japan in March 2011.
The total amount of them was about 5 million tons.
3 million tons of them sunk into the bottom of the Japan Sea.
2 million tons of them are still floating on the sea now.
They will arrive at the seashore of North America in October.
It will be a big problem in California.
What should I do as a Japanese who lives in California.

Is "Sea of Japan" correct? If not, you could write "The sea around Japan"
The total amount of them was about 5 million tons.
3 million tons (of it) sunk to the bottom of the Japan Sea.
It's obvious that it's the sea of Japan, so it's not necessary here.
2 million tons of it is still floating on the sea now.
I'm also surprised that it will take about 1.5 years to reach the US.
California will most likely be prepared for it somehow. Although it probably has bad effects on the ocean and sea life.
Thank you.
What should I do as a Japanese person who lives in California.
If you are Japanese, you could see if it was yours.
If you live in California, you could make it into art.
Thank you.
