Last week one of my friends in my university days stayed at my house with his daughter.
He divorced several years ago and he has traveled with his daughter once a year since then.
His daughter is thirteen years old.
He said this would be last travel with her because she might not want to travel with him next year. She will like to spend time with her friends more than her father.
He said it was getting difficult to find the common topics to talk about.
All kids leave their parents some day.

It is sad to know about him. But it is always better to just accept that we all grow up and do things our own way. it must be very difficult for him but life is like that. I hope he can recover from the pain. He can still be happy by supporting his daughter.

It's funny how it works. As a teenager, I was always trying to get away. As an adult, I find myself regretting the times I didn't spend with my parents.
I suppose everyone has to figure out who they are on their own at that age.
