Yesterday I went with my mom to a kitchenware store and we've bought necessities for making cupcakes. The store was little and in an ugly street, but I liked it (the store, not the place XD).
We've found all what we were looking for. Today we are going to make cupcakes and it makes me happy. Why I want to make cupcakes?
Above all – I like cupcakes, but there is also one more reason -
My brother is doing cupcakes with his girlfriend and I think us, my mom and me, can do better than what they are doing.
Apart from it – I'm reading every day the grammar book which I have.
There are so many things to remember! But I believe that it's all a matter of time.
Have a good weekend!
And in Hebrew:

Tali, in this case you can't say "DAS" because when you say "LOJA DE..." you mean "A store that sells something/A store specialized in selling something". When you say "LOJA DAS..."it gets another meaning, a possessive one: "The store of someone". Example: Lojas das meninas (Girls's store), Loja dos animais (Animal's store) and so on.
A loja era pequena e NUMA rua feia, mas gostei dela. I don't see anything wrong about you saying "NUMA", keep saying it. In normal speech, that's how we say. It sounds natural :D
SOBRETUDO – eu gosto de cupcakes, mas tem também uma outra razão -
Meu irmão está fazendo cupcakes com a namorada dele e eu acho que MINHA MÃE E EU PODEMOS fazer melhor do que eles (fazem). You won't say FAZEM! We already know what you mean when you said "FAZER MELHOR DO QUE ELES". And in blue, I changed the word order a little bit to sound amazingly natural :P
NO MAIS/ALÉM DISSO/FORA QUE – eu estou lendo cada dia UM livro DE gramática que eu tenho. "Fora que..." is informal. I use "No mais..." a lot, informal too! Literally: "In plus..." (in a really bad English translation!) Be careful: Fora disso = Out of it. Eu estou fora disso! (I'm out of it, don't let me get involved in this!) And... you saw I corrected putting UM and DE, right? Tali... you DIDN'T put the name of the grammar or anything, so for me I don't have a clue about what book it can be. That's why I put the indefinite here, it can be any book. Now: Estou lendo O libro de gramática QUE MEU PRIMO ME DEU (Now I know what book it is, I can put the definite now!).
Tem tantas coisas PARA SE/PARA lembrar! PARA SE = formal. PARA = informal. The verb LEMBRAR Tali is reflexive: Eu ME lembro, Você SE lembra. But in normal speech we ignore it, that's why you can say only PARA. "A lot of things TO remember..." = Tantas coisas PARA lembrar!. "I remember OF you!" = Eu (me) lembro DE você!. This verbs requires the preposition DE or PARA. A good tip is translating phrases from English to Portuguese, when you say "TO" use "PARA" when you say "OF" use "DE".
MUITO bom o texto! Orgulhoso de você, sério mesmo! Seu português é bem natural, admiro seu esforço! Beijoquete ;*
uma questão de tempo - well, I didn't know which word to use so my mom told me to use "questão", glad to know it's the right word : )
Good to know that "numa" sound normal and that it's not a mistake of mine!
At first place I wrote "fazer melhor do que eles", but then I thought it might be wrong so I added this "fazem". Maybe I need to go more with what I feel.
I must say that in the sentence "o que estavámos proucorando" I wrote estivemos and my mom told me to change it to estavámos, yet I didn't understand what is wrong with estivemos. Maybe you can tell me? (haha just to be clear - it was the only thing in the text which I've changed since my mom told me hahaha)
"when you say "TO" use "PARA" when you say "OF" use "DE"" -
Thanks a lot for this advise! I really have problems with it.
Lembrar is always reflexive? saying "eu me lembro" it's just saying "I remember"? it gives me all the time the feeling of saying "I remember myself" or maybe even "I remind".
Sorry for this long comment! and thanks again!! : )
Eu estava procurando... (INDICATIVE IMPERFECT)
Eu estive procurando... (INDICATIVE PRETERITE)
BUT COME ON, I CAN'T LET YOU WITHOUT ANSWERS! TALI, WHAT I'LL EXPLAIN YOU, IS MY POINT OF VIEW OK? I'M A STUDENT OF LAW, I HAVE A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF GRAMMAR, BUT THIS WAS TOO FAR FROM WHAT I KNOW. SO I CAN BE WRONG, BUT IT'S BETTER THAN NOTHING!
WARNING: READ THE FOLLOWING EXPLANATIONS BY YOURSELF, GOD BLESS YOU!!!
After thinking a lot, I can tell you... you actually weren't wrong at all! We use both forms! "ESTIVE" is used wrongly by us when we build such phrases (So you were wrong... but not wrong at the same time :P).
Using the IMPERFECT (ESTAVA) means that something that were in the past keep affecting my action in the present. But when you use the PRETERITE (ESTIVE) it means that that thing forgotten in the past, died in the past, it doesn't affect me at all.
"I've been searching..." look... it has the idea that I've been being making some researches, I started this action in the past and I keep doing the same stuff in the present. So wouldn't you use the INDICATIVE IMPERFECT here? Of course yes! That's why ESTAVA/ESTÁVAMOS is the right form of building such phrase. However, you can also say EU ESTIVE PROCURANDO... it's wrong, but as we ignore rules, I can say it without hurting someone's ears.
HOWEVER THE MOST USED FORM IS ESTAVA/ESTÁVAMOS, OK???
I also don't always know how to explain things to others. In my grammar book I think he explains these things, I just need to understand them (it's a grammar book in English, so I have some problems with words I don't know in English. I need to trantlate the English text instead of bother others with my questions XDD At least in hope that translating it will really help me hehe)
"it has the idea that I've been being making some researches, I started this action in the past and I keep doing the same stuff in the present" -
it sound as if I use it I'm saying that I'm still searching the thing, but I found it in the past. why should I keep searching what I've already found? it just makes me feel more as the other form should be the correct one :s
At least it comfort me that you also speak wrongly like that XDD
There are so many things to learn! yet I still have the hope that one day I will get it all and speak like a real Brazilian :D what sure is - I never gonna give it up! (like Rick Astley XDD)
So again - thanks a lot! I really really appreciate all your help and effort to explain me these things! you have no idea how much you help me! You are just awesome :D
"Lembrar is always reflexive?"
I forgot to answer it. Yes, following our strict grammar, "Lembrar" is ALWAYS reflexive. But it's formal language. In normal speech we use to say "Eu lembro..." and if you want you can say "Eu me lembro..." too. You can say both, don't worry.
Sound better to my Hebrew mind (since "Eu me lembro..." makes me think always about some other version of the verb "to remember" in Hebrew, that it's more like "to remind" so I feel as I'm saying in "Eu me lembro..." - "I remind (to myself)" XDD)
Anyway - Thank you! : )
