English is my start of my learning period. I like English very much, but I don't know how to improve it better and better. The lessons in my school can helps me, but I think it is not enough because I failed a transfer exam. I can't answer the questions in this exam, although it was an English exam. I realize that my level is not higher enough. One of my friends who is an American-born Chinese told me that my learning has its function, but I have no direction now. He didn't answer me the answer, he asked me questions and told me that I need to find the answer by myself. "What is the function of languages? If you learn it well, what thing will you do?" I replied, "I can find a job, and I can use it in business." Then he asked me, "How?" I said, "I think I can write letters or answer phone calls." Then I saw him disappointed. He told me that is not enough because he think it is just in the low level. He told me that I may find the answet in the future. I think the thing I can do now is try to improve my English, then I can see the effects in the future.
