I had to fill the gaps with 〜のに、〜ために or 〜ように.

デスノートは、人を殺す「のに」使うことができる。
やがみライトは、Lを殺す「ために」、デスノートにLの本当の名前を書いた。
ライトは、Lが死ぬ「ように」、デスノートにLの本当の名前を書いた。
ライトは、父親が彼の正体に気がつかない「ように」、父親もデスノートで殺してしまった。

I get confused between these so my answers are all probably incorrect. XD

Yes, you are alright! I guess those sentences are correct.
I can't explain well but
if the 1st part is
（主語）を（動詞）、You can use のにandためにbut you can't use ように
if the 1st part is
(主語）が（動詞）、It's better to use ように

Does it make sense?
