My new English teacher told me before that my pronunciation of R/L isn't good.
I knew that so I tried to pay attention for the pronunciation for R. However today she told me that again. It was about the pronunciation for L. Of course I know that the pronunciation for La is different from that for "ら" in Japanese, but I thought the difference was not so big. As she said, my pronunciation for L is too weak so sometimes she confused with what I said.
Now I know I have to pay attention for not only that of R but also that of L.

R is more in the back of the throat. You have to tense your tongue in the middle of your mouth without touching you teeth or gums with it at all.
For L, you hold your tongue to the back of your front teeth and then make a sound with the back of your throat.
So the biggest difference when making them is that L touches your gums or teeth while R doesn't.

It's difficult because there are sounds in English that don't exist in Japanese. When I speak French I can't roll my 'R's because it's not a sound that exists in English. Good luck :)
