This is a script for my speech in English conversation class.
I hope you read this and tell me your opinion, even though it’s long a little.
(If you don't have time, please correct not all but only a few sentences.)
Thanks in advance.
----------
Today’ topic is a little difficult.
I’m afraid I can’t tell you what I want to say enough.
So if you don’t mind, I’d like to be the last turn.
(May I change my turn to the last?)
--------
On Monday night, I watched a presentation on the web.
http://www.ted.com/talks/sheryl_sandberg_why_we_have_too_few_women_leaders.html
The speaker is Sheryl Sandberg.
She is the COO, No.2 of Facebook and her earnings is the highest of women in the world.
She also had great career in Washington before.
She is 42 years old and has two kids.
*COO:chief operating officer,
The title was “Why we have too few women leaders”
To women's success, she gave three points.
First, “to sit at the table.”
It means “don’t underestimate your own abilities.”
and “to negotiate work condition like salary for yourself.”
In short, “Believe in yourself.”
But it’s not easy.
The reason is when a woman tell her success,
a lot of people feel negative, not good, too confident.
Secondly, “make your partner a real partner.”
Share your housework and child care.
And thirdly, the last, “don't leave before you leave.”
Exactly most women have to leave her job for a while for maternity and child care, but before the time you have to leave, don’t give up to keep working and your promotion. It’s your future.
After I watched this, I had a shock a little.
Because I might expect a different opinion of this splendid woman from mine before I watched this.
Even the excellent woman like her has struggled with these trivial matters.
It’s as same as most women workers.
I had worked for 6 years before marriage and now I’m just a housewife.
But her thought is not so far from mine, I think.
Actually I heard the blind barrier for business women in U.S. is still very high, so Americans have never woman’s president.
I was disappointed a little.
I don’t like to say that I’m a woman and I can do many things that male staff could never do.
I don’t intend to insist women's right.
As I said before, exactly most women have to leave a job even if it’s temporary. It’s minus part.
But I believe the woman have plus parts, and mix society is better than the society with only men even though as of now I can’t explain the plus part enough.
She and I wish the world would be better for all women and men.
To tell more, if none has ever feel any barriers from any indentities like gender, it would be the best.
It’s not only for me but also my kids generation.
In fact, I had not found a job actually, but I want to work again not so far someday.
Fortunately there are ex-business men and elder women.
You have more various experience than me.
I’d like to ask all of your opinion.
I hope you read this and tell me your opinion, even though it’s long a little.
(If you don't have time, please correct not all but only a few sentences.)
Thanks in advance.

“Why do we have too few women leaders?”
Today’s topic is a little difficult.
I’m afraid I can’t tell you what I want to say enough.I can't speak enough about this topic.
i just rephrased it because i thought that you meant to say is that you have so much say about the topic.
So if you don’t mind, I’d like to go last.
(Is it okay if I go last?)
She is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and second in command of Facebook. She is one of the highest paid women in the world.
people might not know what COO stands for so explaining what it is makes it more powerful.
She also had a great career in Washington before.
She is 42-years-old and has two kids.
To address the topic of “Why do we have too few women leaders?”
To women's success, she gave three points:
The first is “to sit at the table.”
It means don’t underestimate your own abilities
doesn't need quotations if it's not a direct quote or a well-known quote.
and negotiate work conditions such as salary for yourself.
doesn't need quotations if it's not a direct quote or a well-known quote.
But it’s not easy for a woman to succeed. She can come off as negative, not good enough, or overly confident.
combine the sentences together.

Secondly, “Make your partner a real partner.”
Share your housework and childcare.
And lastly, “Don't leave before you have to leave.”
Most women have to leave their jobs for awhile for maternity leave and childcare, but before that time comes, don’t give up working and your promotion
After I watched this, I was a little shocked
because I expected her to have a different opinion than me.
Even a woman like her has struggled with these trivial matters
that are the same as those of most women workers.
I think her thoughts are not that different from mine.
Actually, I heard there are still barriers for business women in U.S.
S.
The United States has never had a woman as president.
I was a little disappointed.
I don’t want to say that I’m a woman and I can do many things that male staff could never do.
I don’t intend to insist on women's rights.
As I said before, exactly most women have to leave a job even if it’s temporary.
That's the negative part.
But I believe there are positive sides to being a woman, and it's better to have both men and women in the workforce although there are still a lot of things that could improve for women.
She and I would like the world to be better for all women and men.
It would be better if no one has to ever experience any barriers due to gender.
Not just for me but also my kids' generation.
In fact, I had not found a job actually, but I want to work again not so far someday.I also hope to go back to work someday.
i don't think you should include this.
Fortunately there are ex-business men and elder women.
i don't think you should include this.
You all have different experiences than me...
I’d like to ask for your opinions.
I understand that I shouldn't add my personal story to a speech.
