Since we had a one day off, we went to an antique mall. Both my American friends, my painting teacher and I love antiques. We enjoyed shopping. My painting teacher has a licence of antique dealer. When I buy some antiques with him, he always negotiates the prices. I could buy a beautiful antique miniature porcelain for the normal price of 20 % off. In addition, thanks to him I don't need to pay a State tax. I was quite lucky! I think that I could buy a really good textbook. I still can't paint miniatures like this antique, but I would love to become paint like it. I am thinking after I return to Japan, I would love to practice miniature portraits. I would like to give them to my dear friends!

My second class starts today. I become a classmate with our former prime minister's sister-in-law. It is my first time to meet her. She has came here with her bodyguard and been staying for four months. Unfortunately, she seems to dislike other Japanese people even though she is also Japanese. So, she never seems to talk to me, and she never seems to try to even eye contact with me. I can't understand her behaviour. However, since she has been a student of my painting teacher for a long time, I have heard a lot of stories about her from him. Luckily, I take the same class with one of my American friend. She said, " What a nice person! She never tries to speak to Yumi!! " in a voice dripping with irony. I wonder what will happen to me in the class. However, oh well, who knows.
