アニメを見つけるのは、難しかったです。”難しく見つけました”is not normaly used. probably, Japanese couldn't understand it."難しく見つけました" is "it is hard to find it" but if you use "it is hard to find it" 「見つけるのが難しかった or 見つけるのが大変だった」
アニメはテレビであまり見ませんでした。If you use "あまり" you have to use ~ないFor example 「あまり見ない」「あまり使わない」「あまり食べない」In this sentense 「見ませんでした」is polite word.
