Do you know the song "Non Ho L'eta" sung by Gigliola Cinquetti, an Italian girl? She sang this song in 1964 and won the first prize in the music festival in Italy. It became a big hit even in Japan. I liked this song very much those days. And now that I am learning to sing in the music school, I decided to sing this song. This song reminds me of the sweet memory of those days.

I don't know whether this song was translated into English. If it was, I would like to know the lyrics of English version.

Hi, yukiyanagi-san.
Too bad I don't know the song. If I hear its melody, maybe I can recognize it. The piano teacher who taught my daughters is actually a professional classical singer and she sang quite a variety of songs at her recitals. I should do some research for it.

Well, both of you weren't old enough to hear this song!! When I was in high school, Italian songs were really popular. Ito Yukari sang this song in Japanese. Look up in the Youtube, I am sure you 'll like it.

I checked the youtube and listened to it. Beautiful song! And the singer is such a--what should I say?---pure looking girl. I didn't know the song after all, but I could easily imagine Itoh Yukari singing it. She has the same kind of a little bit melancholic voice, doesn't she?
Italian seems to be a good language to learn, too. It has its own music in it. Don't you think so?

I'm glad you liked this song. She was such a pure looking girl. You can see her at the age of over 30 on the Youtube, very different. Now she is 64. I wonder how she has grown older.

"Non ho l'eta`" means "I don't have the age", in other words "I'm too young for that".
The song tells a young girl's love, but she thinks she's too young to have a date with her boyfriend.

Seech-san, thank you for the nice comment. Oh, you are learning Italian too. I sing this song in Italian, but I can't understand the meaning. I just like the sound of Italian.

Ito Yukari was so young. She is a great singer too. I haven't seen her on TV. I wonder if she is still singing.

Yukiyanagi-san, Itoh Yukari appeared NHK's morning drama 'Himawari.' Didn't you see it? If you are lucky, you can sometimes listen to her sing on TV. She hasn't changed much. It's amazing. When I was very young, I thought she was already a mature woman, but probably she was only a teenage girl. :)

Now I remember that Itoh Yukari was in that dram "Himawari"! She is more than 60, and she looks young.
I haven't seen her singing long time. I like her voice. Recently I sometimes feel I am out of date of the new songs like AKB and other J-pop. I miss good old songs.
