Yesterday I visited my son's event of modern art. My son graduated from one of art universities in Tokyo. This university is a difficult one to get in and costs a lot of money. As you know education is expensive in Japan. We had to save quite a lot of money to prepare for the university.

Anyway, now he doesn't have a regular job, but just a part-time job which has nothing to do with his art. We support him a little, but mostly he is doing OK. He lives alone in a small apartment. He saves money to do his art.

He sometimes holds events of modern art. Yesterday's one was a big one. To tell the truth, I cannot understand his art. He says his art is a kind of performance art, or cutting edge art , which means to me ”Oh, dear, what's this?" I hope some of you could get what I mean.

Now he looks very happy and satisfied with his life. But I am worried about his future. My son is a stubborn boy (to me he is always a boy). I know he will do what he wants to do.
I just want him to have a happy life whatever he does to make a living.
