I always have trouble to know when to use in, on, or at, to indicate that something is happening somewhere or at a given time. I know that "on" is used for things on a surface. But sometimes its confusing.

I will give several examples for you to get what I mean.

I am on a bus.
I am in my car.
In the morning. In the afternoon. In the evening. At midnight
On Saturday.
On March 14.
In 1999.
In the summer of '69.
In the city of New Orleans.
At the party.
At 10 o' clock in the morning.

I can not think of other significant example.

Thank you very much for your help.
