In addition, I met an old man there. He’s from India. He comes to a mall and just talks to passersby every day. Why? He does that to always learn new things. He actually has a lot of acquaintances and friends there. When he talked to me, he told he tried to learn from me as well. I was so impressed he made efforts to learn from others including me even though he was no younger than 85. Indeed, even though the Japanese tend to be reluctant to, we should also learn from younger people.

Thoughts in Canada 1: More Equality Regardless of Age (2)
I also met an old man from India there.
I think it's more natural to combine those two sentences...
He’s from India.
He goes to the mall every day just to talk with passersby.
He does it to always learn something new.
He actually has a lot of acquaintances and friends there.
When he spoke with me, he said he also tried to learn something from me.
I was so impressed that he tried to learn from others, including me, even though he was no younger than 85.
Indeed, even though Japanese tend to be reluctant to, we should also learn from younger people.
What I thought in Canada1: More Equal, Regardless of Ages (2)

"In addition" doesn't make sense in this entry. If part 1 and part 2 were together, you could use it. But since it's two different entries, it doesn't really make sense.
He goes to the mall everyday and just talks to with passersby every day.
He always does that it to always learn something new things. (from the people he meets).
"From the people he meets" isn't necessary, but it completes the sentence, in my opinion.
I was so impressed that he makes an efforts to learn from others, including me, even though he was no younger than 85.
Indeed, even though the Japanese people tend to be reluctant to, we should also learn from younger people.
