“image” and “imagine”.

My English teacher on Skype lesson pointed out my mistake about words.

They are “imaging” and “imagining”.

When I read the article, I read them by mispronunciation.

She explained the difference between “imaging” and “imagining” like this.

" "Imaging" expresses about picture."

I couldn’t understand because she explain it in English.

I checked two words after my lesson in Japanese.

Two words have the same meaning 「想像する」,so I’m still and more confused.

Imagining like is making a picture in your mind (sort of like dreaming).

難しいですね。image は何か物とかシーンとかを心の中に思い浮かべる。imagine は物だけでなくもっと色々なことが含まれるような感じでしょうか。

私がそう思うだけですが。

日記の添削ありがとうございました。

まずiebpkさんが教えて下さった基本的な使い方を理解し、

｛image（名詞）・・・画像、画面など　imagine（動詞）・・・想像する｝

それからVermilion さんのようにimageとimagineを使い分けられるようにしたいと思います。

iebpk さんが正しいと思います。image は動詞もありますが、名詞として使われることがほとんどだと思います。私もToshiko さんの投稿をよんで、あれ動詞としても使うんだと思ったくらいです。私も、image を動詞として使った覚えはありません。

"image"は名詞"imagine"は動詞として理解した方がスッキリしますね。
