Every time I come across English sentences that say something like “Sit behind the wheel.” I find it’s interesting.
Because I wonder how we can sit behind the wheel, if I translate the sentence into the literal translation of Japanese. ハンドルの後ろに座る
If I write the sentence in the Japanese way, I would say, “Sit in front of the wheel.” ハンドルの前に座る
By the way, do you say, “Sit behind the desk.” or “Sit in the front of the desk.”?
We say, “Sit in the front of the desk.” in Japanese.
