I couldn’t help but cry out loud!
It was a snail (with a shell) crawling on my plate where sunny lettuce were put.
My father’s co-worker grew the sunny lettuce on his farm and gave them to us that day.
I was eating pork rolling up with them and I almost eat the snail without noticing it.
My father must have been bothered with my shout, because he was watching a baseball game on TV. So he put that snail away for me quickly.
Next day, even though I washed sunny lettuce by myself (my father did the day before), when I was talking to my sister about the incident the day before while eating them, a familiar thing caught my eye.
A snail without a shell was crawling on my right point finger!
“Oh, my! How couldn’t I notice it, when I washed sunny lettuce? It was so close. I almost eat it,” I said.
My father wasn't there, so I wiped that snail away with a tissue.
The day after that day, when I was washing sunny lettuce (my father’s co-worker gave us tons of them) very carefully, a very familiar thing caught my eye again.
How many are there snails in these sunny lettuce?
There was no place for me to shout any more.
I wiped that snail away with my bare hand and put it outside saying,“There you go” with a smile.
Because of the incidents, I got used to snails.
I don’t think it’s a thing to brag, but it’s a good feeling that I’m not bothered by snails any more.
Well, since I have a cat, I came to be able to catch frogs with my bare hand.
She catches a lot of frogs and if I get up to fetch a tissue, they run away soon.
It’s also bothering to think about fetching a tissue every time she catches a frog.
Snails look cuter and easier to catch than frogs.
Actually, there are people who eat snails in some country.
I think people who eat raw snails are few, though.

About three days ago, when I was having a dinner, a small light brown thing caught my eye. I couldn’t help but cry out loud! It was a snail (with a shell) crawling on my plate where sunny lettuce were put. So gross! My father’s co-worker grew the sunny lettuce on his farm and gave them to us
