Learning just a meaning of every English word in Japanese is one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made.
Some English words I learned were study for exams in schools.
So, if I learned just a meaning of every English word which was on the tests, it was OK, which actually isn’t.
For example, I thought until today that this word, “keep” had just a meaning of continuation, because I learned the word meant just “~し続ける” in English in schools.
I didn’t know the word had another meaning.
That’s why I made such the dumb misunderstanding like this. Read my previous entry.

How embarrassed I am!
Also, I made a misunderstanding for awhile about the famous movie title, “My Fair Lady.”
Don’t laugh at me!
I thought for awhile that this tile meant a lady who treated people equally. (I thought it was a weird title.)
Because I learned this word “fair” meant just “公平な” in English in schools.
I didn’t know the word meant also “beautiful.”
