Faz pouco tempo que abri minha conta no Lang-8 e fiquei muito feliz por ter encontrado pessoas com interesses comuns aos meus logo no primeiro dia.
O que mais fez diferença para mim dentro desse site é que as pessoas parecem ser muito mais interessadas e amigáveis do que em outros sites de relacionamento. Talvez o fato de cada um estar correndo atrás de seus interesses por meio desse sistema faça com que os laços entre as pessoas se tornem mais fortes.
Como todos aqui, também quero aprender uma língua, no meu caso, o japonês. Mas ainda não consegui encontrar um lugar que me explicasse direito como configurar o Windows XP para me permitir escrever em japonês. Por falar nisso, para aqueles que souberem como, por favor, me mandem uma mensagem explicando ou com o endereço do site que tenha tal informação.
Eu espero poder conhecer muitas pessoas interessantes aqui, principalmente japoneses, já que são eles que vão ser meus professores.
There's not much time since I opened my acount in Lan-8 and I felt very happy for have found people with the same interests as mine right in the first day.
What made more difference for me inside this site is that the people seem to be much more interested and friendly than in others relationship sites. Maybe the fact of each one be running after their own interests via this system make the link between people stronger.
Like everyone here, I want to learn a language as well, in my case, japanese. But I still didn't find a place that could explain how to configure Windows XP to allow me write in japanese. Just talking about it, for those who know how, please, send me a messege explaining or with the site adress with such information.

I am not a professional for this kind of topic, but MS-IME seems the best.
An easier, though less practical than MS-IME, method would be :

Another possibility is to use Emacs, a multi-lingual editor.
I usually input French characters with this,
and I can also input Portuguese characters, like "São Paulo",
even though this is the first time that I write Portuguese :)
