It was around 11:30 a.m. I took my dog, Big Steve, out for walk. It's still beginning of May, but it was like a summer heat outside.
Walking outside under the sun was nice, and it made me slightly sweaty. My dog is a pug. You know, how their nose squashed in their faces. His nose isn't so squashed, but still it was hard for him to breath. So he stuck his tongue out and breathed hard.
I saw some people swimming in our community pool. I felt like summer came here already.
Since the weather is getting nicer and warmer, I started to grow some basil. I love the smell of basil and the taste of course.
One day, I put the basil outside where they can get a good sunlight for a while. However, I found them withering away in the hot summer-like sunlight. They looked sick. The sunlight must be too strong for them! I immediately took them inside and laid them somewhere cooler and gave them water after a while. My basil got back alive again within an hour or so! I was relieved!
I should have been more careful in raising basil. I won't do it again!

His nose isn't so squashed, but still, it was hard for him to breathe.
I felt like summer came had come here already.
Your sentence wasn't really incorrect, but 'had come' sounds a little better here. =^)
One day, I put the basil plants outside where they can could get a some good sunlight for a while.
However, I found them withering away in the hot, summer-like sunlight.
The sunlight must be have been too strong for them!
'Have been' is used instead of 'be' because it's in the past tense.
I immediately took them inside and laid them somewhere cooler, and I gave them water after a while.
My basil got came back alive again within an hour or so!
To 'come back alive' sounds more native than to 'go back alive.' =^)
I agree your corrections! They sounds more like it!
I have to be more careful on these tenses.
Thank you!!(^^*

I should have been more careful in when raising my basil.
Thank you so much for taking your time to check my entry!
Thank you! Yeah, my basil is doing fine now!(^▽^*
