TITLE: As Words Fade into Silence

This is a pictorial poem about the indifference of eternity.

As words sink into silence,
and ideologies turn mute,
what are we left with?

Perhaps only faint echoes of a primal laughter
that is always unperturbed.

How could Eternity give a hoot (about finite things)?*

*IDIOM: give a hoot = worry about, be concerned about, fret over
**********
Q: What time did you wake up?

A: Despite appearances, I am still asleep.
