mamoの日記の英訳を書いてみた。正確かどうか分からない。
I tried to write the English translation of your journal. I don't know if it's correct.

先日、友人に「背景にあなたが移っている写真を公の場所に出したいのだけど、大丈夫？」と尋ねました。
The other day, I asked a friend, "Would you like to see the background picture changed to the place you want to go?"

友人はその時「いいよ」と言いました。
My friend said, "Yes, that's fine." at the time.

数時間後、彼女は私に「今までそんなことを聞かれたことがなかったんだけど、聞いてくれる人が居るんだと思って感心した」と言いました。
A few hours later, she told me, "I've never been asked for this kind of request so it impressed me that there's a person that asked about it".

彼女は普段口数が少なく話す機会も少なかったので彼女の方から私に声をかけてくれたことも嬉しく思いました。
Because she usually spoke few words there wasn't much of a chance to talk to her, so I was happy she spoke to me.

そして（尋ねて良かった。丁寧にしてきてよかった）と思いました。
And I thought (It was good that I asked, and it was nice to be treated kindly).
