Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
After starting learning English, I started to notice many things. First, I didn't know that there are many foreigners in Japan. I sometimes speak to foreigners for learning conversation, and it's important whether or not there are foreigners. For this reason, I look for foreigners even when I have no time to speak. Second, I found many things in English. For example, almost all signals are both in Japanese and in English, like 注意! CAUTION!.
There are many other things I noticed in my boring life, but I have to go now...
See you~

After starting learning English, I began to notice many things.(this is only so that there's more variation. Using "start" twice is ok, but using another word the second time makes this flow better)
First, I didn't know that there were many foreigners in Japan.("are" is probably ok too, but this is how I think many natives would say it.)
I'd like to hear about more things you've noticed later :)
First, I never knew that there were many foreigners in Japan.
I sometimes speak to foreigners for conversation practice, and it's important to practice whether or not there are foreigners.
Second, I noticed many things in English around Japan. (I think this emphasizes your point better.)
It's amazing how many things we don't really notice until we focus on them ^^
